I've got one waiting for me to not be so swamped with work that I'd like to actually draw for fun or personal enjoyment or the sake of art or... or anything other than storyboards of cell phone ads...

It's so sad, I've got nothing work wise till Monday... girlfriends birthday party, but no work... and I just don't want to even look at a pencil or pen. I just, man... fuck, you know? I just wanna watch TV and not think... and sleep. I get paid to sit at home and draw, and that's awesome... but this recent campaign has been hell on fucking wheels and everything else gets pushed to the side. Girlfirend. Art. Sleep. Eating right. Laughter. All I get is tears and coffee... and more tears and coffee (I'm going to start making coffee with the tears... ). Oh and revisions. Fucking revisions. "hey, now that we see the retarded shit we asked you to draw we don't like it either... can you change this and make it completely unrealistic? Hey, why in this giant perspective shot are the people down the street so small? Can you make them bigger? Sure, but, you know, like, they'll be almost bigger than the building they're standing next to! ... " ...and it goes quiet. So quiet you could hear a fucking pin drop! It's crazy.

I can't wait for mid February. I can't wait for some time off. I wanna draw my comic. I wanna do some painting... I wanna sit around with my girlfriend and not do anything, or do something, but nothing important. I wanna draw a pretty girl who isn't on the phone... who's just, I dunno, floating in space/paint/emptyness... all messy and full of "artsy crap" and, none of it makes sense... you know? I just want to do that again.

See, fuck... I've completely lost my mind... drool

rant over. Will try to paint something today/tomorrow.

Fuck do I know what you mean. I don't have the creative nut grab that is a design/advertising job but between my shit part-time job and school I definitely feel the same way. This term I am playing the part of a fine art student who has finished his fine art courses. Now, because the school/government deems it necessary, I must fulfill the "liberal arts requirements" which means students are required to get 6 credit hours(2 courses) in the humanities, 6 in natural science, and 6 in social science......so basically I need to take courses that are completely unrelated to my degree and that I have little to no interest in. I've gotten a few out of the way in past years but now that I am basically done my degree and I still have three of these shit classes left, it's really sucking the life/creativity out of me. The classes for the most part are easy enough though....for instance I have a geology class that's dubbed "rocks for jocks" because it's what all the retards on the basketball team and struggle to pass. I also have a Psychology and Sociology class, which I find interesting enough, but they are pretty basic and you have to deal with all the 17/18 year old first year girls who all think they are going to be a psychiatrist because it looks so easy on tv. Not to mention I don't like being forced into paying for something that I'd really rather not have anything to do with. They say the liberal arts requirements make for more "well rounded students"....I might believe that if I couldn't hear the money being sucked out of my pockets by their vacuum cleaner with a big dollar sign painted on it.

Thus concludes this ridiculously long post....almost....

On the plus side, my girlfriend and I rented a studio space this weekend. 150 bucks a month for a 3 room space....each room is like the perfect size for a person to work in. With one of our friends going in on it, 50$ a month each is nothing for a studio. It's going to be hard to ever leave this shit city with prices like that.

For those into moleskins I thought this find was worth sharing... for that unique moleskin look.

If you want to be the one to get this started I'm sure Sail can send you all our info. I mean if he's to busy and you really want to. I think this would be cool. There's something a lot more interesting about doing it by hand rather than another online thing. Try contacting sail.

Ok, then yeah, if you want to go buy a moleskine and start it... that's totally fine by me. I can send everyone's info to you.

I've got one sitting here, but I haven't done anything in it yet. So, yeah, let me know if you want to start it. Shit, we can do two... we can do a billion... whatever's clever. Very Happy

Also, as I told Even, I'm sorry i haven't gotten to this yet, I've just been super busy with upcoming gallery shows and my day job. Sorry, guys.

Oh, I missed this last bit of chatter. I'm down with doing as many as you guys want to do. Whoever starts one let us know when it has begun and what the mailing order will be.

I will forward info to whoever wants to start one... I don't have the energy to start one right now.

This has also been the least creative month for me... like, ever.

I think some people may have wrote this off, but if people are still game and we don't have one by mid/late August I will buy one and start its Journey.

I'll be done with the summer session at the university by then, I'll look to have my part done here by the first of September should I start it.
