A sketch I scanned for my friend before the crashing of my computer, sadly I don't have many scanned images after losing my Hard drives >.<

Ok, I'm kinda embarassed but I'm gonna do it anyway.

This is like the second thing I've drawn in like ten years. It's just an eyeball fuck of one of the earlier Wormy issues.

I was really pleased with myself because this was the 1st time I've ever drawn anything without having to erase any of it. I'm serious. I've never done anything that I didn't frequently use an eraser on. The reason I couldn't was because I'd gone out and bought some graphite pencils and, of course, they don't have any. I couldn't find one at my pad either.

I was really rather pleased with it until I started to ink the damn thing. I payed $20 for a set of 10 fucking "art markers" that arn't worth a shit! I was so pissed about their quality-or lack thereof actually- that I didn't finish inking it. And I don't know jack about using a computer for colors.

Anyway, that was a lot to say about a crappy sketch but I'm actually kinda proud of myself.

That sucks cock.

Actually, it's not bad at all, but the coloring does suck. Though, I've never foudn a marker I would actually color with... well, maybe Copic's but I like digital coloring too much to bother with spending money on color Copics. Just the grey scale for me.

Yeah, like I said I don't really know shit about inking, period. I'm going to start messsing around with stuff on the computer, though.

Get ready for endless questions from me. Wink

I actually just got done with a drawing of William Cutting AKA "Bill the Butcher" from Gangs of New York.

Daniel Day Lewis is one of my top 5 favorite actors and the character he created for that role is simply one of the best of all time.

Not many actors actually create characters and/or "live as them" thru the shooting of a film. Johnny Depp's one. Christian Bale is another. He actually ate maggots for his role in Rescue Dawn in which he plays a bomber pilot in Vietnam who gets shot down and caught by Charlie. He also got down to an insane 118 pounds for his role in The Machinist. A kick ass movie BTW. And he's a pretty big dude.

To me there are "character actors" that are great but pretty much "play themselves" over and over again i.e. Al Pacino, Bobby Deniro ect.. There are a few like that that are great but what actors like Daniel Day Lewis pull of is a much higher form of art than others IMO, of course.

Yes, I know. That rant really doesn't belong here, so I'm sorry.

I'm gonna try and color the Bill the Butcher pic on the computer. It's actually for an art contest that my LCS is putting on and the winner gets an original Walking Dead page so I put a lot more into it than usual. And I have a lot more to go.

I'll post a pic soonish.

Inking with pens is fine, but coloring with markers is a whole different animal... one that I can't be bothered with myself. I mean, I've got photoshop so, fuck markers. Also, with pro markers, you need marker appropriate paper/board.

Anyway, yeah, questions... I won't promise to have the answers because I've learned it all myself simply by doing. I have no technical know how. Embarassed

oh, man, don't take it personally. i posted some poems from time to time and it was always hard to get any response.
and when i drew once, for a contest, noone commented, which is not surprising, because i really suck at it, you're a god at drawing compared to me.

Don't feel bad, no-one said anything about the one and only thing I've posted and hell it was up there for months!

Obviously, I fucked up and said they were art markers when they are actually
art pens. They still weren't worth a shit, though. Or I just don't know how to use them.

I did use a sharpie, of course.

Well being a god in bed pleases others more than it pleases me. Wink
