$2000? That is a steal! |
Ok, so pony up then. |
Well, are we talking like a shoe and two socks, or will there be some substantial clothing lossage here? I have to get my money's worth here, Ben. _________________ "Look out! The child is a bomb!" ~ Ben Wooller

it just poped up my mind that you once mentioned that you're gonna work on an anchient historical comic, or so. i believe you can't tell us anything more detailed, can you???

|
|
Hey Ben, I was thinking to ask this somewhere else, as this thread is one big mess-o-mess and my question may get lost in here. But following the etiquette, let me post it here anyway and if you don't reply within the next year I'll try asking it elsewhere:
When coloring in Photoshop or Painter or whatnot, is it necessary to worry about "print safe" color pallets? I was thinking about that the other day when I was painting something in Painter. I said to myself, "Now what if when I print this out, it looks nothing like the colors on my monitor?"
So I was just wondering when you do your coloring work if you have to be aware of that? Or do you just use and create whatever colors you want and not even worry about how it will be interpreted by a printer? _________________ "Most stories end with punching or shooting a squid-like worm thing." |

Heh...it all depends how your monitor is calibrated, as much as anything. COlor can be a major pain in the arse to get right. Having that problem myself right now...need to get the profiles on my printer right, since it's messing up with what I have on screen. And I know my screen is right, since the art turns out fine on any other machine/print.
I'm a real moron when it comes to this stuff...and without knowing your setup anyway, no idea if you'd have problems or not. It can be tricky, but someone that knows their stuff can easily set it up for you.

Sometimes if I'm extra worried I do proofs. I don't worry about stuff for print for IDW/Image so much, since I know the results, and my setup aint changed... _________________

Not saying anything right now, since I haven't even approached a publisher. _________________
