On many pages, I 'fade back' bits of photos and stuff. It just so happens that the nose is the easiest bit to put in I think..and keep it's shadow forming shapes...it adds a little zing to what could be a very flat drawing at times. I fade in other bits of photos for other things too, but the nose...or one particular nose I use as my 'standard male' nose seems to have more punch. It really seems to fit the way I generally draw them to begin with.

One day, I'll swap noses though. Wink

Well, rather than lift stuff from magazines or what not, I find that I'm my best model ( and cheapest! )

I can ge tthe exact angles or poses I want etc that way. You'd probably be surprised at some of the stuff I've used of myself...that actually doesn't end up looking like me. ( Yeahm I know some stuff does...but pleny of stuff goes under the radar too. Wink )

Well I have such lovely manboobs.

Actually, I do try to steer away from doing huge boobs in general...that'll change though eventually I guess, as mine 'blossom'

Well...he's an attractive man. Wink

Well...at least 'drawing on the stomach' is bringing the thread back to art...

Any art questions, just ask away. Smile

Hey Ben, do you think you could maybe toss up some sort of tutorial or step by step of your process? I think it'd be cool to see something start to finish. i think it'll also dispell some of the 'digital art is easy, it's a bunch of filters' stuff that goes around Smile
